Currently there is no way of creating any Budgetary information for Statistical Accounts.

Therefore, if you wished to create a Financial Report with a column definition of Actual Vs Budget and a row definition which includes GL Account information and statistical account information for creating KPI's, there is no way to create the Statical Budget information for the analysis of those row, which skews the KPI comparisons.

The suggestion would be to expand G/L Budgets and have an option to include Statistical Accounts, which could be added as rows at the bottom, for the user to enter their statistical budget information and then have the financial report use that. Or create an independent Statistical Account Budget, similar to the way the GL Budgets work and then have the Financial Reports and Analysis views also use this information where applicable.

The kind of statistical account example where you might have "budgets" would be like our recruitment company customer, who have a "People in Work" or "Hours worked" statistical account, where you might want to create a budget/expectation of these for a Month and see if you are over or under performing on that metric. Or if you were a Manufacturing Company and you wanted to have a Statistical Account for "Units Produced" so you can analysis your PL by Units Produced, you might have a budget of how many units you'd expect to produce in a month.

Great idea! This is the main reason we did not start using the new Statistical Account ledger and continue to use the regular General Ledger/Chart of Accounts for statistical data. This would solve a major gap in the functionality for businesses like ours that budget/forecast for statistical values in addition to financial values.
