For category, it applies actually to all functionalities in D365 Finance that displays accounts/financial dimension. I only selected General because it won't let me select multiple categories.

Be able to configure data access level for Main Accounts and Financial Dimensions values by User/User Group without the need for customization. We understand that via customization we can use XDS however, Main Accounts and Financial Dimension table structure in D365 FO is just too complex and too much to deal with. Not to mention, it will require extensive testing when we customize. It would be really great to have this capability/feature out of box that is configurable via the interface.

The requirement is that there are certain group of users that should be able to see, select, process only selected accounts/fin dims. Different groups of users are allowed only to see certain sets of accounts/fin dims.
