totally agree - can't understand that at least a Sharepoint integration ist part of the standard package.What is the benefit of storing documents anywhere else in a 365 environment?

Check NavSherpa integration tool on AppSource, it integrates BC and SharePoint, we use it for uploading documents to SharePoint via BC, the good thing about it is that you can attach the document with its metadata as well.

The option to store attachments to SharePoint would be an excellent addition. This may also make them accessible for other uses within Power Apps or Power Automate.
