Customer is using Security filters in order to restrict access of users to only particular records. One particular place where that is most often used is table 15 and 17 related to G/L entries.

As per the official documentation the limit of characters that are available to use are 200 for these filters. However, in this count, we have to include parameters such as table names/field names, delimiters, symbols, and operators that used in the filter.

This essentially brings down the number of characters that are available for use from the end customers.

While there are other ways for filtering for larger number of records such as using the "*" sign, this filters all records for a specific letter or number.

However, if there are gaps between the numbers of the entries (e.x not all of them start with number 4 or letter A) this will grant access to records which are supposed to be hidden.

In the cases where such gaps between the names of No field, there is need for manually putting the number of the entry in the security filters using filtering options "|" and ".." between specified records.

However, having large number of records hits the limit of 200 characters very easy, causing issues with using the security filters accordingly.
