Currently, it's not possible to use an event registration form type in an event registration landing page type.
We cannot link an event registration form in the look-up field on the Event registration landing page.
The objective is to use event registration landing pages to manage event subscription for private events and not use the portal which is public, so everyone can see all the events.

Yes, this would also be good when event registration pages need to be created easily with some brand elements, agenda and registration form. Customizing and using the event portal can be a too time consuming.
