On the Shop setup card it would be helpful if there were more options for handling discounts. For example, when I set up an Order Level discount on Shopify, it currently spreads that discount across all items on the order (this is what a Product discount should do). So "20% of $20 or More" discounts spread over items on the order, instead of showing as a stand-alone order line hitting a G/L account. However, it would be better if on the Shop setup card there could be an option like "Order Level Discounts G/L Account". Then order level discounts would create a sales order line in the BC sales order with that G/L account and the total order discount would be entered on that line. The Item lines would remain at full list price if no product discount was present. This would allow a company to more closely track with specific discounts were costing them how much over time. If all discounts are rolled into item lines, this can get lost. Of course, Shopify product discounts would always discount the individual SO lines as it currently does.

Related, currently when a Shopify shipping discount adds up to free shipping, no shipping line at all imports into the order. That means there is no record that freight was charged, even if a 100% discount was given. This will cause a financial reporting gap for some companies who need to record, financially, all revenue and discounts. I would think that the Shop card could be modified to have a selection to use an Item Charge for freight and enter the Item to be used. Then when creating freight rows in BC from Shopify (sales order), that SO line could be used to show the full shipping charge as well as the 100% discount (or whatever shipping discount was given) to record the correct financial transaction. However it is solved, need to accumulate shipping charges and shipping discounts on orders, even in a free shipping scenario.

Thanks
