BUG: Cannot mail merge from tabbed Accounts views containing column Email (Primary Contact)

This is a bug. You cannot letter mail merge from the CRM for Outlook where a tabbed Account view contains the column "Email (Primary Contact)".

A dialog error pops up, but just says an error has occurred. The error report contains this data: "Generic SQL error."

Repro steps:
1) Create an Advanced Find view for the Accounts entity that contains the column "Email (Primary Contact)".
2) Save the view.
3) Go to CRM for Outlook.
4) Go to the Accounts entity on the left navigation pane.
5) Add the Advanced Find view as a tabbed view. Pin it. Verify that the "Email (Primary Contact)" column shows.
6) Start a letter mail merge by going to the Add tab, then Mail Merge.
7) In the options under Merge: choose All records on current page or All records on all pages.
8) Click OK. At this point youll get the error with the option to send the error report to Microsoft. The *.tmp file shows a Generic SQL error.

Thank you, I will go through the Support/SE channel for future issues to determine whether it's a bug or not. For others that see this post, Microsoft KB954064 may help with this issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/954064 I'll be turning on the DevErrors in the Web.config file to pinpoint the issue and work with Microsoft support if necessary. Thanks, Allan

The tabbed advanced find view contains a field shown as a column that mail merge cannot understand within the context of the tabbed views grid within Outlook (i.e. the context of where you run the mail merge is important). This happens if the related email of the primary contact, i.e. 'Email (Primary Contact)', is a column.
