I have one instance of D365 which is accessed by users from six different business units, all owned by the same parent company (Examworks). Sales execs at each of the business units all compete for business in the same industry and often have overlapping clients. Because of this unique setup, we created data segregation based on their business unit assignment. Then we tested out the Outlook integration allowing them to manually sync emails to CRM from the D365 pane in Outlook. The problem is the D365 pane was syncing emails from a user at one business unit to a contact record owned by a different user at a different business unit. Since the data segregation didn't carry over into the integration, we had to discontinue use. Can you either suggest a workaround or update the Outlook integration so it honors the security roles that separate data based on business unit assignment?
