VAT statement for Norway will be sent to Altinn directly. In this regards, users need to generate sales tax payment from Tax > Declarations > Sales tax > Settle and post sales tax first and then collect it via Electronic messages to generate the preview report in Excel.
The main issue is that Electronic messages works with sales tax payment while we need to to generate preview report in Excel before we run "Settle and post sales tax". It means that we need to run "Report sales tax settlement period" (Tax > Declarations > Sales tax > "Report sales tax settlement period" ) with VAT Declaration Excel (NO) format.
Per today with product version 10.0.24 (10.0.1084.26) this report cannot be run when we have configured the VAT statement for Norway in the company and therefore we dont have the possibility to generate preview version of report before running the settlement. Generating of report before settlement give us possibility to rectify possible fails before settlement.

I guess you have misunderstood the requirement for preview tax report and preview version report that can be created for VAT return. We need to run Tax > Declarations > Sales tax > "Report sales tax settlement period" before we run the Tax > Declarations > Sales tax > Settle and post sales tax.
Do you have any explanation?

Possibility to run VAT Declaration Excel (NO) format from both Tax > Declarations > Sales tax > Report sales tax for settlement period and also from Tax > Inquiries and reports > Sales tax inquiries > Sales tax payments (Print report on the Action Pane) included into the initial feature release dedicated to the new VAT return format of Norway.
