In POS, products with unit kg can be captured up-to three decimal places by setting the decimal precision to three in UOM master form. But, in HQ the product quantity will be rounded off to two decimal places and to achieve the required product quantity in HQ this needs to be customized where the EDT has to be extended as per the following MS doc’s - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/extensibility/decimal-point-precision#product-quantity
The behavior of the product is different in POS (3 decimal allowed) and HQ (2 decimal allowed) and this is something which must be out-of-the-box feature.
Half of the requirement is achieved through configuration and other half is recommended to be achieved through customization. This is something which needs to be handled at configuration level and not through customization.
