We have a data model where 1 Power Apps (PA) environment is connected to more than 1 Business Central (BC) evironments (e.g. 3 or 4) within 1 tenant.

Some records are synchronized between PA and BC - e.g. Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities. For this data we have a button called "Dynamics 365 Business Central" in the top ribbon of PA record (form view) - this button should open the coupled record in apropriate Business Central environment. But this works correctly only for 1 Business Central environment connected to PA, not for all BC evironments. It is not able to handle multiple BCs environments and select the correct one to open the coupled record.

We consider and report this issue more as a bug in standard functionality.

I will try to explain better on example:

I have 1 Power Apps environment with 2 Business Units – A and B.

PA Business Unit A is connected to Business central A.

PA Business Unit B is connected to Business central B.

I am the system administrator and have access to all records in all environments.

All records I am trying to open are coupled to Business central A or B.

Button „Dynamics 365 Business Central“ in the top ribbon of PA standard table records (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities), which is designed to open coupled record in Business Central, works only for the records of business central environment which was connected as first  to the Power App (for example BC „A“ and Business Unit „A“ in PA). And the systém keeps trying to open records of business unit „B“ in Business Central „A“ instead of „B“ and that is the reason for the error message we are receiving.

This button is also not working correctly for the cases where the test environment was created by a copy of live environment – it keeps directing to the original environment, eventhough the records are now coupled in other environment (test one).

Records are coupled correctly, from BC opening of coupled records in PA works as expected, without any issues..
