I know that this is feasible through liquid template but it'll be much better if we can add a custom URL on the event record that works because we're also listing the events that has an external registration page.

I agree with this request. Some cooperatives will list events on their website to promote events that are being run by other organizations, simply to bring awareness to the event. In those cases, the registrations are not being captured within the Dynamics 365 system but being able to redirect a user to a different website is a better user experience.
