Customers rely on Azure Synapse Link's Append-Only behavior to maintain a historical record of Dataverse data for reporting, analytics, compliance, and auditing purposes.

Currently, there is ambiguity around how Dataverse Audit data is handled in Azure Synapse Link when the corresponding records are deleted from Dataverse. Customers expect that data already synchronized to Synapse in Append-Only mode will remain available and immutable, regardless of subsequent deletions in the source system.

These enhancements would help organizations meet regulatory, auditing, and long-term reporting requirements while removing uncertainty about historical data preservation.
