Closing an activity from the list/grid view doesn't consider business required fields. This is what a user would expect. Please consider this change.
When a field on one of the activities is configured to be a required field, then the close as completed and close as cancelled buttons on the form ribbon are warning the user that there are attributes which are required without data provided. When the user tries to close this activity from the grid view, then there are no questions asked and the record is closed.
This can be solved by creating a plug-in, however for many customers this development is not an option.
