Change Entra ID Authentication mechanism for "Visual Studio Code AL Language extension"

We are facing an issue with device-based conditional access policies when accessing the Dynamics 365 endpoint via "Visual Studio Code AL Language extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central".


The used OAuth Flow (Device code flow) does not include a device context. This flow is typically used in IoT scenarios where the device is unknown.


For this use-case the auth code flow would be the better choice, because all conditional access features are processed during this flow.
