Request that WMS can handle and process customer returns that originate from Retail (mPOS/cPOS), at a warehouse, in a similar fashion as a Returned Sales Order/RMA is processed in WMS.
In D365 WMS, during receiving of the customer return that originated from Retail (mPOS/cPOS), ‘WORK’ is not generated for sales order lines that have a negative quantity where 1). Order Type = ‘Sales Order’ and 2). One or more sales Lines with a negative value, representing the returned items. WMS will only create ‘WORK’ for negative lines when the order type is ‘Returned Order’. Since Retail does not create customer return sales orders with an order type of ‘Returned Order’, WMS does not create ‘WORK’ for the lines that have a negative quantity. In addition, when creating a sales order that has an order type of ‘Returned Order’, positive lines are not valid.
WMS returns rely on two things. An RMA and an order that is coded for inbound work. That means Return Order type sales orders. When we do a return from mPOS/cPOS, we don’t get either of these.
