Issue of the CRM automatically sending out email invitations (via Outlook) for appointments logged in the CRM. We thought we had solved this problem by labelling the Required Attendees field as "Email Invite" and then just using the Optional Attendees field, although it seems this field also sends out automatic invites.

This is a problem for our external sales team as it gives some customers an option to back out of meetings at the last minute. This will also lead to data not being captured as they'll stop filling it into the CRM if they know it will automatically send out invitations to potential customers.

We have had multiple back and forth calls regarding this issue and in the end have had to settle for a custom workflow that triggers a block Exchange server side. It's less than ideal as a permanent solution and really hoping Microsoft will implement this choice very soon.

It's such a shame Microsoft don't just have this as a standard system option (a tick box to say whether or not you want to send an invite)....surely this must be an easy fix.
