Bug/issue (know by Microsoft but no time frame given for the correction)

Incorrect termination postings and reversals on foreign currency asset leases with fixed exchange rates:

A lease ID entered in a foreign currency code (DKK) with a fixed exchange rate. The accounting currency code is EUR. The lease ID is linked to a fixed asset.

When terminating the termination process considers the depreciations as transactional currency (DKK) and not as accounting currency (EUR), mixing the two currency codes. The gain/loss amounts are therefore incorrect.

Microsoft support answers:" this behavior is caused by a product regression introduced in Dynamics 365 Finance version 10.0.45.

The new feature related to asset lease processing with foreign currencies and fixed exchange rates does not correctly handle currency context during termination and reversal transactions.

This results in transactional currency and accounting currency values being incorrectly combined and the failure to propagate financial dimensions to the termination offset main account during posting.

Until a permanent fix is provided, the recommended workaround is to manually review and correct lease termination voucher postings to ensure the correct separation of transactional versus accounting currency amounts and that financial dimensions are applied to the termination offset account.

Where feasible, it is advisable to delay termination of affected foreign currency leases until a fix is applied, especially during critical reporting or audit periods. It is also important to document manual adjustments for audit traceability.

Please note that no hotfix has been confirmed as available for this issue at this time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation"

A severe bug, with wrong postings and which is known, is stopping our customers for terminating leases.

We need a correction for this wrong behavior.

We are not able to change fields on any lease journals as suggested by Microsoft and it shall remain like this.
