We do not see the functional need for the current link between having open picking work for a production order and the ability to (re) schedule that order. It creates a big problem. If one runs a scheduling batch to make sure orders are rescheduled regularly, any open picking work makes scheduling impossible. My dates will be incorrect until I have finished picking work.
It is not unusual that the prod order is in status released, picking work exists, we have not completed picking work yet, and we need to reschedule the order for some reason. This can change the "raw material date" of the material in the PROD BOM, but we already have picking work, that fact is now completely irrelevant. I don't think any manufacturing company is benefitting from having this picking work - scheduling link. Please remove it.

This hurts us on a daily basis and creates a lot of manual work when we need to make standard changes to a production schedule.Jack WAE technologies Limited.

No way to reschedule orders and in many cases this is a customer requirement.
