Account schedules should have more formatting options so that more polished financial statements can be made for sharing with management. Users should be able to select for each report whether it is printed in landscape or portrait, add report headers, determine which lines have currency symbols displayed on them, how 0's are formatted, how negatives appear, whether numbers are rounded with decimals, as whole numbers, in hundreds, thousands, or millions, and set certain columns/rows to display as percentages.

In addition, users need to be able to print a report and have it break or print separate report for dimension selected. For example if they want to print a separate P&L report by department. Instead of filtering by department and printing the report 12 times, choose all departments(or specific ones) and have it print a separate report for each department and consolidated total report. In Management Reporter you do this by assigning a tree that has consolidated and each department listed. Assign the tree to the report and you get a report for consolidated totals and each department individually.

Also need auto numbering of rows and renumbering. When renumbering is selected it should update the formulas automatically. This is also feature in Management Reporter.

Auto text for the column headers so it will print year 2022 when your run the report for 2022 report date and print 2021 if you have column for prior year. Same for month. Also feature in Management Reporter.

As a partner working with all Dynamics products, there needs to be effort put into financial reporting in Business Central. Creating the report names and assigning row and columns was a good start.

It's difficult to create a high impact report from the account schedules.

As this request mentions, the current tool is very limited, and produces extremely plain reports.

And the data from the account schedules is difficult to access using PowerBI.

We do it using the KPI service, but updates are unreliable the time to live does not work reliably.

So our users have to complete a multi step clerical process to produce a pretty income statement with up to date data.

At month end, this takes hours of time.

It could also be good to have an option to filter out transactions based on source code.
