It would be great if we had the capability to pin a create button of specific activity in timeline controls, instead of clicking "+" button and then selecting the activity.
We have many activities today but usually we don't frequently all of them. Depends on the scenario, there's a need to quickly create a specific activity in timeline.
So please consider to make timeline control configurable to show a create button for specific activity (hopefully, configurable by each form)

Indeed, users got used to on Web interface to click and create a record on an activity a tab (For example separate tab for Notes). Now that the Timeline control has changed, users try to do the same without selecting the activity type.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we will track it ,if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.
