Issue : The issue with asset leases: after an asset is terminated, users are still able to create and post journals. The customer expects that once an asset is terminated, it should not be possible to create or post journals for that asset, and this action should be restricted.
Actual Behavior
• Terminated assets are still available for lease journal posting.
• No system validation or restriction is stopping users from performing this action.
Expected Behavior
Once a lease asset is terminated:
• It should be locked from further journal entries.
• The system should prevent users from creating or posting any new lease journals tied to that asset.
• Any attempt to do so should trigger a validation error or warning.
Legal entity : USMF.
Go to the lease asset >> leases >> lease summary .
Click on new option.
Fill the details as per the below screenshot
Create the payment schedule line & Create executory costs payment schedule lines.
Click lease option >>click on create schedules.
Click on books option.
Click on payment schedule .
Click on conform schedule.
click on expense schedule option
Select the expense type >> click on create journal.
Click on journal number.
Post the journal.
After posting the journal.
Journal got posted
Go to the asset leasing >>periodic >> termination proposal.
Select the termination date and posting date, Lease ID >> post the termination
The lease USMF-0062 terminated.
Lease status is showing terminated.
Click on expense schedule.
Create journal >> after terminating the journal still user able to create the journal.
Post the journal
After posting the journal
Still user able to create the journal and post the journal.
