A lot more information can be added to the status of a sales or purchase order. Some that I can think of are
prepayment required (is a prepayment is required before releases)
partial shipped (some items have been shipped)
all shipped (all lines shipped but not invoiced)
completed (all lines are shipped and invoiced)
overdue (some lines requirement payment)
