Today, CSP partners who administer their customers' Dynamics 365 F&O applications do not have a way to view and manage their database capacity. On the other hand, the Dynamics 365 CRM applications and Business Central do have simple M365 admin portal views of a customer's database storage capacity. Our Microsoft cloud consultant tells us F&O data usage visibility is only available with internal Microsoft, and it is "billed accordingly". This is a miss for Microsoft. Considering that some F&O environments can get very large (e.g., multiple terabytes) and database storage can quickly become very expensive, why is this not an option? My suggestion is for Microsoft to provide external admin portal tools enabling F&O customers and their CSP partners to monitor their database storage capacity. This will enable Microsoft partners to advise their customers on database capacity (i.e., used versus allocated) and proactively plan and budget for their ongoing storage requirements.
