I read an old discussion in which the suggestion was declined, but I would like you to consider an additional security mechanism on the 'delete extension data' option. There's a double confirmation, which can save you from all those occasions where the option has been activated by inattention, but the option is too powerful and could also be activated by a malicious user. Let's take the case of user X, who learns that they will be fired; in a moment of madness, they decide to destroy a company's data, perhaps just 10 minutes before the nightly backup runs. This is not inattention, and no double confirmation will stop that user.
