When setting up retention policies to control the database storage size, currently, it just purges that data. We'd like to have an option to set up an Azure Data Lake environment for BC historical data and update the retention policy parameters to move it to the ADL instead of purging it. That way you could have the last 2 years of historical data in the live system and then maintain the prior years in the ADL. Many customers must have 7-10 years of data (in particular some medical device customers) - but then that bloats their storage.
