That way, when developing reports, you can use sandbox data and when the report is finished you can change the connection to a live environment.
Using the ODATA connector it's simple, using the BC-connector I don't see any way to connect to a sandbox instance.

I think it is essential to be able to connect to a sandbox environment so that testing can be done. I have seen Power BI impacting performance in Business Central as well as on-premises implementations so I feel that it should be possible to test in the sandbox before deploying to production.

If I am not mistaken MS is planning to bring the option of having multiple production environments within a single BC tenant. Would be great if we get the option to select the environment we want to connect.
