- 10% discount (10% as example only)
- Yearly cap of 10,000 total purchase or 1000 total discount (Yearly cap 10,000 as example only).
If the employee reach to his cap amount, then the discount will not work for this specific employee.
Comments
You can use a loyalty program for this tier 1 you receive the discount tier 2 ((after exceeding the Yearly cap ) -> no more discount each year start a new period

This idea would also be great to extend to non-employee scenarios where known customers (e.g. Loyalty or on account) can utilize a promotion but there's a total cap on how much retail value(or total discount) this can be applied to, i.e. not per purchase but combined.
Example:
There's a loyalty promotion of 15% off all items during October, but the customer can only use this up to a total of 1000 EUR retail value or 150 EUR discount. Whether they do 1 big purchase or 10 smaller ones is irrelevant, it's the total of them all that should be validated.

This feature will be helpful to control and monitor usage of Discount.

I found this discount idea is required by almost all companies, and some of them they applied it via customization.
