In Dynamics 365 users can open PDF attachments directly in the preview window. However, the current preview functionality is very limited:

• The PDF content is rendered as a static canvas, which means text cannot be selected or copied, even when the PDF contains real text.
• Users are forced to download the file and open it externally to interact with the text.

This creates unnecessary friction and slows down workflows, especially in service and sales processes where quick access to information from attachments is critical.

Proposed Solution:

• Upgrade the PDF preview in Dynamics 365 to use a full-featured PDF viewer that supports:
• Text selection and copying.
• Optional text search within the document.
• Alternatively, integrate the native browser PDF viewer or provide a PCF component as the default control.
