A lot of my customers have many different avenues for getting opportunities (Website, Google Ads, FB ads, Insta Ads, Referrals, etc.) and they'd like to track how they got each lead. If a field called 'Lead Source' was added this would benefit a lot for companies to be able to see where they are getting the most leads from which would help them decide where to allocate more advertising dollars.

Are you asking for this field to only be added to opportunities? This needs to be expanded to sales quotes, sales orders, sales shipments, and sales invoices too. As a business owner I want to understand statistics beyond just the opportunities generated. I want to be able to dissect what I am actually closing per lead source versus just creating opportunities.
