In 2012 you could secure the global address book by legal entity or address book. This seems to have been removed, and not documented anywhere.

The feature of the Security role by the team vide Address Book was an excellent feature. I have used this feature in companies, and they get rid of many fraudulent activities and data confidentiality. I am missing the feature in D365 which is improved shape of AX2012.

The feature was documented on the German-language version until end-of-2019, is was just missing in the application - so our customer was & remains especially disappointed that this issue is still unresolved - although it was working in AX, although this idea is here since 2017.

I fully support this request and agree with the below comments. This was a very useful tool in AX2012 that guaranteed security based on address books, which is now missed in D365FO.
I hope to see this soon in the roadmap. The status is "planned". Is there any update when this would be available?
