When consolidation process is run twice on same period, there is no control or indication that new transactions have been transferred.
Period statut does not work on consolidation company so no blocking can be done.
The idea will be to have some warning or control before process is completed to identify new transactions when process is run several times.
There should be a control whereby existing consolidations are retained and when the consolidation is run again, only adjustments are made. Competing products work this way. Dynamics 365 Finance is the only application I have ever seen where you can delete a consolidation entry.
I like Annaik's idea. I also think if you could also have a dashboard showing the status of each consolidated company at the current point of time, eg.
Company A - Fully consolidated
Company B - New transactions in period since last consolidation
Company C - Not consolidated
This would give a huge amount of confidence to the Group Accountants that they have included everything.
