More and more we're facing prospect with multiple legal entities but with a centralized management (even for SMB). The fact that each company has its own silo is becoming more of an issue (even if synchronization of some master data is now possible).

It would be nice to:

  • Define Parent/child relationships for companies and if connecting to a parent company be able to view the corresponding data of the parent company and all associated child companies: With multiple currency management this would iply that the local currency code is displayed everywhere (rather than leaving it blan)
  • Select a company field before processing a transaction (orders, invoices, journals, etc) or creating a new record (instead of switching silo)
  • Be able to read data (transactional) among multiple companies: ledger entries, purchase documents, sales documents, projects.
  • Be able to edit BC reports and financial reports (account schedule) across multiple companies

For such scenarios, competitors (expecially NetSuite with OneWorld) solutions are more adpated.

Is it a scenario which is being considered in the backlog of BC (even though it can be complex) considering some improvements have already been done on master data sync / IC flows / company hub?
