The addition of the service SID will allow for Twilio to manage bulk messaging at scale so they can route messages through one or more Sender Pools - Messaging Services come with built-in features to help customers that use both Twilio & Dynamics to select the best sender for our use case and scale our application.



  • The Messaging Service SID is available in Power Automate flow for Twilio plugin but not in D365 Marketing

Please could you look at including this in a D365 wave release to enable clients to better make use of 3rd party features?

This idea is now planned for 2023 as part of the SMS channel enhancements.

Great idea - this would also allow Dynamics 365 users to benefit from other Twilio features such as opt out management and alphanumeric sender IDs.


Microsoft just need to remove the e164 format check and allow customers to enter a messaging service SID in that field. The API call made to Twilio behind the scenes works in the same way where the "From" field accepts a e164 number, alphanumeric sender, or messaging service SID. I am sure the Power Automate team would be happy to help 😉 otherwise I don't mind (Twilion here!)
