Symptom:
WMS picking is not updating properly the delivery remainder & On Order quantity in Sales Order

Cause:
The issue is caused due to over picking the last line does not relate to in any way to the earlier line which was short picked, infect the reserved physical qty related back to Sales order, not to work

Resulting Impact to Customer:
1. The inflated/incorrect delivery remainder prints out on the packing slip
a. In our test case today, this shows the customer that they ordered 400, we delivered 400, but there is a “backorder QTY” of 40
b. Incorrect math leads the customers to call and complain
2. The inflated/incorrect delivery remainder then shows up in our “past due” sales $ value and on time delivery % calculations
a. This leads the businesses to be very angry when they find out that the math is not correct and they are being improperly scored on their performance
3. The inflated/incorrect delivery remainders are then sometimes accidentally shipped out to the customers
a. The customer gets more material than what they ordered
b. The customer then returns the material to us
c. We then have to pay excess shipping charges, restocking fees, and have an impact to other customers who may now have late orders because we shipped the material to the wrong customer
