 The add-in that comes with the new CRM app for Outlook seems to be very limited. While it can track, it only allows you to search from your outlook contacts--the places where search would be most valuable is either searching the Dynamics contacts or searching the account/company list when linking an Outlook contact to a CRM account.

We have clients who are beginning to migrate to this and they are complaining of the same thing.  It's unordered and unsearchable...how does that even get into production?!

Yes indeed. We have 500+ active contacts in CRM : how can be useful a full view in the add-in section without a search?

A major issue is not being able to search for the Account when relating the contact.  Its just a list and when you have 400,000 accounts this is not practical.

Sorry, but this is not a feature but a striking BUG!! Wonder how to explain this to our customers ... cut the ropes to the classical CRM Client for Outlook in favor of the lightweight app while an essential feature like contacts search is not supported yet. Welcome in the hitech year 2017!

 

Please, bring back the simple user/system view picker to the CRM Contacts window!
