Comparable to the margin alert functionality, it would be very helpful to have stock alert functionality on the sales quote line and the sales order line.

In the parameters (also comparable to the margin alert parameters) you can activate this option and define the thresholds.

you can set the percentage for the acceptable and questionable level.

When you enter or change the qty field on the quote or order line, the stock alert is calculated.

If the available physical stock is more then the acceptable level percentage (ie 200%), the stock alert indicator is green

If the available physical stock between the acceptable and questionable level (ie 100 - 200%), the stock alert indicator is yellow

If the available physical stock is less then the questionable level (ie less then 100%), the stock alert indicator is red

additional functionality could be that in the parameters you are able to select which stock level should be used in the calculation (physical stock, available physical stock, available for reservation, etc.)
