Tasks often change and need adjustment (e.g. task status or progress). We set tasks to remind things and avoid losing track on tasks. This means tasks should be visible and synchronized with Outlook and other tasks.
Best way to manage opportunities and tasks is to take Planner app and integrate it into BC CRM.
Kanban style management, task checklist and other features in Planner is exactly what you need to track your business leads. Task basically equals Opportunity and MS has it ready without minimum development.
Bring in "planner kanban" style opportuntity manangement
Syncronize tasks with all other tasks/calendars
Add task types (if familiar with procurements and tenders then often most critical task and deadline of all is "quote deadline" so task type "quote deadline" is needed not to miss opportunist to bid.

I too absolutely agree with Ananth,BC Tasks need big revamp:1. Users should be able to create tasks from any master data. (Contacts, Opportunities, Campaigns, Customers, Vendors, Fixed Assets, Items, GL Accounts, Dimensions, Locations etc).2. Creating tasks should be as simple as planner and easily assignable to other users.3. Easy to schedule and send reminders for overdue tasks either by notification or SMS or Email.4. Easy to see tasks in a calendar page.

100% support this, and not only for Opportunities. Companies sometimes need to track tasks across departments - it should be possible to relate to other master data - vendors, items, fixed assets, employees etc.

Agreed, this would be a welcome addition.

Appreciate! But when tracking this idea, consider from business perspective how to operate if tasks are hidden?
