Sales order is created and a Purchase order is created to fulfill the requirements. The sales order line or entire sales order is then cancelled , however the Purchase order remains open for the item and is not updated.

This lead to overstock.

Solution: whenever we create the related purchase order in Sales order should be linked with purchase order
same like intercompany to avoid gap between PO and SO
