In addition to having posting dates, invoice dates, due dates etc. We need a "transaction date". this would be equal to the date the transaction was done...it would equal the entry # date. The reason this is important is because it tells you when someone did their work.

It would help user find transactions as well. For example, they know they processed a certain journal entry or a certain invoice on Saturday Dec 27th...they should be able to search for that. They may have posted it to Nov 30th GL period, but did not actually process the invoice or JE until December 27th. This will help measure productivity as well. Thank You for your consideration.
