Using the standard Business Central report layouts and the English (Canada) or French (Canada) region as well as some European region settings results in an odd date format on printouts. For example, "July 21, 2018" will be displayed as "2018 July 21."

The displayed date with Canadian settings corresponds to the YYYY-MM-DD standard numerical format but as a long date format is displayed, there is an issue and the readily available custom layouts cannot be used because the date format is not a valid date format.

The solution would either be to stick with the numerical format (YYYY-MM-DD in English and DD-MM-YYYY in French) or to display the correct long format on the custom layouts.

The current workaround of using English (United States) settings is not viable for non-English users. The other workaround is to create new layouts by modifying the date format on the fields, which defeats the purpose of having readily available templates that should be easily personalized by key users.
