Currently there is only a single compensation structure for a plan, without the ability to keep track of historical records. When executing a change to a compensation structure (line) the line updates, without the previous value stored somewhere.

This has multiple impacts:

  • It is not possible to proactively update compensation grids for a collective increase. For example, when a collective increase will happen in one month from now, we can only execute this as of the date of the collective increase as otherwise we cannot assign 'normal' wages for new employees when using a hard tolerance.
  • The compa ratios of an employee's compensation record are wrong. As the compa ratio of any compensation line is always calculated as that compensation line's fixed pay rate against the current compensation grid. Any change in the compensation grid will thus impact all of the historical compensation lines.
