We have made different roles for each department and disabled their ability to modify their UR.
However, this also means people cannot save their own filters. There is a huge difference between being able to add/remove fields and columns or simply save your filters.
Some departments have a workaround, but as we also have 10 companies within our tenant, e.g. Finance needs to modify their filters 10 times when trying to pull some requests because they can no longer save their latest search.
It would be a huge improvement if this setting could be split: not being able to modify the UI (based on the role, as it is right now) AND/OR being able to save your own filters.
