When you first create a contactperson in F&O, and then a customer of type person in F&O, for the same party, 2 contact records are created in Power Platform. 

If you do it the other way around: first the customer, and then the contactperson, only one contact record is created in Power Platform (like it should).

This behaviour should be the same, regardless of the order in which records are stored.
