When working with Customers who a coming from other ERP systems or those that are starting to look at capacity planning in BC they have established Routing Descriptions that may describe the process i.e. 'Strip, Paint and Clean' which is printed on Job Cards / Work Order / SFDC screens against a default Machine Centre that has a name of 'Painting 1' (example only), but I could have another called 'Painting 2' that could be used if I have no capacity on 'Painting 1'
I run planning, create my firm planned order
On the Firm Planned Order Routing this has a description of 'Strip, Paint and Clean'
I then decide that 'Painting 1' is at full capacity so I either change the MC on the Prod. Order routing directly OR I change via the MC Task Page, or I potentially move this via an ISV i.e. Netronic VAPS. It resets the Description to 'Painting 2'... which means if I printed my Job Card / or view on SFDC I don't see the description I wanted to see. I still have the MC Code to understand
Would be good to have some functionality to retain this description if an operation is moved to another Machine Centre in BC rather than doing a MOD
