Dynamics Marketing service (formerly MarketingPilot) is our primary Marketing Automation solution in our product portfolio with majority of our investments directed accordingly. We will be closing this request - do review Dynamics Marketing Spring release to see if security roles are flexible enough for your use case

Qualifying a Lead will always result in an Opportunity, and an Account and Contact if they have not been identified as already existing. It does not surprise me in the least that the Qualify functionality checks that the user would have privileges to create the Account in order to allow qualification.
However, you may want to vote for one of the several threads that suggest the qualification process needs to be redesigned and to make the records created configurable or presented to the user as options, like CRM 2011 pre UR12
