when Change management is active that to cancel a delivery remainder you have to put the PO in Draft, cancel the remainder and then re-submit the PO through workflow.
We were advised that this was standard functionality however we believe that there is a bug within change management.
Clearing the delivery remainder on a PO is not changing the original ordered quantity - we are simply wanting to clear the delivery remainder as it's not longer required. It doesnt make sense that you should have to put this into draft to do so.
We note that the delivery remainder can be cleared by raising a receipt and on that receipt confirming there is no additional receipts - this clears the delivery remainder and the PO is not in draft.
Please can we request for this to be investigated further as a bug within change management?

Repro steps:
Look to cancel the delivery remainder on a confirmed PO, you will get an error that it can not be completed as change management is active..

solution provided below does not help us :

This is the intended design. When using change management, any change in the PO must be requested and approved. Canceling the deliver reminder is considered a change since it’s updating a quantity field in the line (the reminder).

There are 2 ways Customer can use to cancel the reminder:
1. When you receive the goods, you can update the quantity and select Close for receipt flag which would mean that you don't need to receive the remaining quantity
2. Click Request change button, use Deliver remainder feature to cancel the remaining quantity and submit for approval

This has worked this way since old versions in AX and D365.
