Right now, it is not possible to assign Item Charges to a manufactured subcontracted item. These items often have additional charges like freight, duties, etc that need to be paid to a vendor and also rolled into the cost of the item.
Bypassing the error "Work Center No" must be blank would allow this and greatly improve the business process flow and accuracy of the finished good costing

MANY clients have subcontracted tasks that require additional fees (just as a typical receipt would) that need to be included into the cost of the manufactured items. Subcontracted manufacturing lines feel like an after thought in BC and should carry same options, functions and costing capabilities than your typical receipt lines so the costs and be properly rolled into the manufacturing costs.

This would really be very helpful, as there is often a requirement to add additional costs such as alloy surcharges and inflation surcharges for external processing.
