When creating entries in LCY i.e. leaving the currency field blank for a transaction, I think it would be useful if the SOURCE CURRENCY CODE was defaulted to the LCY code from the General Ledger setup and the SOURCE CURRENCY AMOUNT defaulted to the AMOUNT (LCY).

Currently the new(ish) functionality tracks for currencies and is a real improvement but when reviewing transactions the SOURCE CURRENCY AMOUNT and CODE for LCY is Zero and blank respectively. This makes the data looks inconsistent.

I also think there should be a way of defaulting blank currency fields to the LCY (in the setup) as so many clients these days have companies with different LCY's in their groups, exporting and reporting on the data would be much tidier and efficient as a result.

Strongly support this. The current behaviour (blank Source Currency Code and zero Source Currency Amount for LCY postings) creates unnecessary inconsistency and complicates reporting—especially in multi-entity environments with different LCYs.Defaulting:Source Currency Code = LCYSource Currency Amount = Amount (LCY)would significantly improve data quality and reduce reporting workarounds. An optional setup to default blank currency to LCY would also be valuable.More broadly, continued focus on core General Ledger functionality and data consistency is critical. To get meaningful outputs from AI/Copilot, data quality and consistency must come first—this is fundamental for reporting, audit, and control.

Good suggetion. The nonlogical overview with empty fields does cause mininterpretation.
