We would like to be able to customize the Social Pane the sorting on the Contact and Case forms , currently it can be sorted on ‘modified on date’ and cannot be sorted on ‘create on date’. It would be additionally useful if users could change the sort order (ascending, descending or by field).
Comments
Not only for migration, when you have more activities and mostly emails Sociual Pane is nearly unusable with hard-coded Modified On DESC sorting (e.g. when you open an older email and reply, the original email is modified and so put on the first place on social pane).

To me, this is a breaking issue. Why on earth would I care the order of import for migrated activities rather than the createdon/overriddencreatedon date? The limitations of the Social Pane make it worse than useless for migration scenarios.

Yeah. Finaly MS got this right. It has been very frustrating that the sorting was hardcodede to modified date. Now you only need to add configurabilty of which fields are show from each activity type in the list. Being able to configure which fields are shown on the small popup forms is also a must have! Can't believe that this has not been added yet?

Hi Microsoft, Recently I just rolled-out MSCRM 2013 for my clients. Their feedback is, the sorting of the activities in the social pane, within the case form, is very confusing and misleading, due to the sorted by 'modifiedon'. Hope this can be resolved and become configurable. Thanks.
